Assist during computer lab time. Teach individual students very specific things that
they want to learn, or just walk around and help when everyone is doing the same thing
(2-3 volunteers needed). Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 – 10:00
Lead small reading groups, an intermediate and advanced level (2 volunteers needed). Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 – 11:30
One-on-one conversation practice (could be an "intercambio": half of the time in Spanish and half in English). Fridays, 10:30 – 11:30

Clarke County Mentor Program
Be a positive role model and advocate for a student in the Clarke County School District
(ask to work with a Spanish speaker). One year commitment. One session training required
at the Chamber of Commerce Bldg., 246 W. Hancock (between Hull and Pulaski Sts., next to
Cine theater). Mostly during school hours (preferably: breakfast or lunch) or after school.
Tutoring possible but not required. Background check required (see application form, bring
it to the Chamber of Commerce before orientation)

1. Interpreters: Goodwill provides free tax preparation in partnership with the IRS
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.
When: January 24th until April 11th: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4-7pm and Saturdays: 10am - 2pm.
2. Bilingual Career Center Assistance: The career center assists Hispanic job seekers in finding work and completing applications.
When: Mon-Wed: 10am - 5pm Thurs: 10am-7pm and Fri: 10am-4pm and Sat. 10am-2pm
3. Career Center Instructors: ESL, Spanish to English Speakers, Spanish Computer Classes, Job Seeker Workshops in Spanish, etc.:
Hours: Varies...mostly 5pm-8pm...some morning hours when Career Center is open.
